For the 19th year in a row, the Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem School Districts Joint Insurance Fund (GCSSD JIF) celebrated Member School District successes at their Annual State of the Joint Insurance Fund Dinner. The dinner rewards and recognize the extraordinary efforts of Member Districts for their commitment to provide a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and community. In all, 17 member school districts were recognized and received awards totaling $47,000.

BCIP 2018 State of the JIF Dinner

For the 22nd year in a row, the Burlington County Insurance Pool Joint Insurance Fund celebrated Member School District successes at their Annual State of the Joint Insurance Fund Dinner. In all, thirty-four member school districts were recognized and received awards totaling $102,000.
Not pictured is Safety Hero Award Recipient, Eddie Grinnan, 5th Grade Student at Riverside Township Board of Education. He performed the Heimlich maneuver on a fellow student choking in the school cafeteria. When asked about this incident, Eddie described seeing a poster in the cafeteria that illustrated how to help a choking person. We applaud his quick thinking actions.

ACCASBO 2018 State of the JIF Dinner

For the 21st year in a row, the Atlantic & Cape May Counties Association of School Business Officials Joint Insurance Fund celebrated member school district successes at their Annual State of the Joint Insurance Fund Dinner. $59,250 was Awarded to 18 member school districts.

Brigantine Public School District wins ACCASBO’S 2017 Safety District of the Year Award
ACCASBO, BCIP and GCSSD JIF’s celebrated member school district successes at their Annual State of the Joint Insurance Fund Dinner. The dinner meetings are organized to reward and recognize the extraordinary efforts of member districts for their commitment to provide a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and community by actively participating in risk management programs.
Rewards were earned by members who reduced the number of accidents by focusing on safety efforts. Member districts were acknowledged with recognition plaques and monetary awards.

SPELL JIF/BLUE TEAM GLOBAL Cyber Security White Paper
Presented at the 2017 SPELL JIF Annual Joint Retreat, this Cyber Security White Paper identifies risks and provides key recommendations that school districts can adopt to achieve effective defenses against cyber attacks. The White Paper also describes vulnerabilities and identifies the level of effort and budget impact to mitigate IT related risks. The SPELL JIF works to provide the tools for schools to protect their technology appropriately by using cyber security best practices.
